As a Housekeeper of Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing, you will be an ambassador for the company. You are motivated to ensure the highest quality of cleanliness and comfort in the guest rooms, lodge common areas and staff areas and chalets, while providing exemplary customer service to all guests at all times. Tyax is looking for the right individual who can stay focused while working on their own, but also be able to jump and work as a part of a team able to take instructions. You are motivated and have great communication skills and an impeccable attention to detail. 

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Responsible for the daily cleanliness of guest accommodations, lodge common areas and workplace.
  • Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms: stayover and departure cleans
  • Cleaning of staff and guest common areas and offices
  • Cleaning of chalets (4 to 9 bedroom chalets)
  • Tidy and restock of housekeeping carts and housekeeping rooms 
  • Assist our laundry attendant in washing, drying and ironing all resort and guest laundry
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning checklists
  • Show dedication to making every guest feel welcome in our surroundings
  • Exceed guest expectations by providing personalised, efficient and courteous service
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth operation through preparation, communication and follow-up
  • Must work in line with the safety and hygiene regulations set forth by Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing
  • Report maintenance issues and concerns regarding health and safety to your immediate supervisor
  • Respect guest privacy
  • Handle all lost and found items according to company policy
  • Operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the company
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to the above. 

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
  • High School Diploma
  • Self-motivated, positive and driven attitude
  • An impeccable attention-to-detail
  • Strong ethics and honest
  • An adept ability to work in a team environment and an openness to working collaboratively
  • The desire to work in a face-paced environment
  • The capacity to perform and sustain the physical demands of the Housekeeping role - repetitive movements throughout the work day such as walking, bending and lifting moderate weight are required
  • A high level of adaptability and ability to work well under pressure
  • Have a positive outlook when working on repetitive tasks such as cleaning, making beds, vacuuming, stocking, laundering and folding linen
  • Experience in Housekeeping is not a must, but is considered an asset
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • WHMIS training is not a must, but is considered an asset
  • The desire to experience, work and live in a stunning remote location for part of the year

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Will be required to lift, bend and reach 

DATE REQUIRED:
Late May to Mid October 2024, with possibility to re-sign for the winter season

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Note: Due to the nature of our business all members of the team may be required to take on additional responsibilities at times to ensure an exceptional guest experience.


Compensation

$17.50 - $18.00 per hour
