As a Spa & Massage Practitioner at Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing you are expected to provide exemplary customer service to all guests at all times while maintaining and exceeding the service standards set by Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing. The Spa & Massage Practitioner is responsible for providing massage treatments to the guests, conducting morning stretch classes as well as to care for our spa facilities. Our practitioners work as part of a team and are highly organized, efficient and able to work in a fast paced environment. The responsibilities of the Spa & Massage Practitioner include but are not limited to the following:

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
- Responsible for the daily cleanliness and organization of the facilities: massage rooms, changerooms, yoga room, spa hallway and spa reception area.
 - Maintain a clean, hygienic and neat work environment at all times; ensure all equipment is in safe working order
 - Exceed guest expectations by providing personalized, efficient and courteous customer service
 - Show dedication to making every guest feel welcome in our surroundings
 - Provide necessary information to compile complete guest records.
 - Perform various massage treatments ranging from relaxation, deep tissue to hot stone while accommodating guest’s needs and creating individualized experiences.
 - Providing in-depth knowledge of all products and services available within the Spa
 - Monitoring and re-stocking of all massage supplies and products within the Spa
 - Answering phone calls with excellent etiquette
 - Lead a stretch or yoga class
 - Demonstrate safe workplace practices
 - Operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the company
 - Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
 - Reports all concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, Health and Safety, Security or Suspicious circumstances (including smells/sights and sound) immediately to the appropriate leader.
 - Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team when needed
 
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Must have the proper credentials and certification for bodywork and massage
 - Hands-on experience in the massage industry
 - 1-2 years’ experience within the hospitality industry is considered an asset
 - Able to lead a stretch class or yoga class
 - Additional language skills are an asset, but not mandatory
 - Must possess excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills and be a team player
 - Responsible and dependable with a poised and friendly attitude
 - Must have attention to detail and the ability to multitask
 - Must be flexible in regards to scheduling and working shifts
 - Must be able and willing to live and work in a remote setting
 - Having own transportation is highly recommended
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time and lift, bend and reach
 
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Note: Due to the nature of our business all members of the team may be required to take on additional responsibilities at times to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
            Compensation
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
